May 21st, 2022, Stranded Blog: GAME DAY photos of the SECOND ANNUAL HARAHAN MUSIC FESTIVAL AND FOOD DRIVE!

May 10th, 2022, Stranded Blog: Together with the City of Harahan, Stranded South Music and Media has raised over 2,500 items of food and refurbished a hurricane-battered park on our way to a great event for the community on Saturday, May 21st.

Thank you to Gary and his team at the City of Harahan and thank you to Home Depot for the donation of roofing materials to refurbish the Zeringue Park shelter, which was battered by Hurricane Ida in August of 2021.

Before our new sign and installation of roofing materials donated by Home Depot.

May 10th, 2022, Stranded Blog: Thank you to Camellia Brand for over 1,000 items donated to our food drive.

April 25th, 2022, Stranded Blog: Thank you to the Harahan Home Depot for donating roofing materials we will use to refurbish the hurricane battered shelter at Zeringue Park.

April 19th, 2022, Stranded Blog: It’s hard to put into words how helpful the Elmwood Business Association has been in helping us raise food for the St. Rita Food Pantry with our Second Annual Harahan Music Festival and Food Drive – Sat. May 21st from Noon to 6:30p at Zeringue Park (501 Oak Avenue).

April 15th, 2022, Stranded Blog – Thank You to BLUE RUNNER Foods for again donating to the St. Rita Food Pantry and supporting the 2nd Annual Harahan Music Festival and Food Drive.

Blue Runner’s generous donation brings our fundraising efforts to about 1,400 food items, which is about half of our food goal of 3,000 for our 2022 festival. Not bad with a month left until the main event.

April 12th, 2022, Stranded Blog – Partnering with great, local businesses to produce The Second Annual Harahan Music Festival and Food Drive!

Thank you to Craig and his great team, who have been quite busy, for their support of our festival in 2022. We couldn’t do this event without the support of great business leaders like Craig and American Men Roofing, INC.

April 8th, 2022, Stranded Blog – Partnering with great businesses in Harahan.

Danny and his team were our VERY FIRST sponsor in 2021, after a chance meeting at a City Council Meeting. Almost like the importance of the first fan, there aren’t words to describe the importance of a starting point when producing an event, especially the FIRST one! Thank you to Danny and his team for again sponsoring our music festival and food drive at the “Harahan Hero” level.

April 4th, 2022, Stranded Blog: Pick-up of 1,200 water bottles from la waters for Second Annual Harahan Music Festival and Food Drive.

Thanks so much to Peggy and Jerry, who I met through the Elmwood Business Association for this generous donation which kickstarted our fundraising efforts to 1,200 items from the jump!

Delivering the water over to…

The St. Rita Food Pantry, our beneficiary for the festival.

April 2nd, 2022, Stranded Blog: Renovation of Zeringue Park in Harahan, with a little help from Stranded South!

These preliminary architectural designs are anything but official, but it’s great to pitch in to community planning through music. I didn’t know the great people at the city of Harahan would include our festival signage in the designs – thanks to them for their continued support.

Zeringue Park is where The Annual Harahan Music Festival and Food Drive is located.

The park is named after The Zeringue Brothers, from Harahan, who gave all in World War Two. Find out more about their sacrifice, and that of others, here.

See below for the sign we are building for the park, while the city works on something bigger.

April 1st, 2022, Stranded Blog: Hancock-Whitney Bank pitching in!

Again, a relationship fostered through the Elmwood Business Association, Hancock Whitney was generous to donate this Breaux Mart give card to our fundraising efforts.

February 25th, 2022, Stranded Blog – Building the Festival Part 2

Building a sign for Zeringue Park in the Stranded South Studio. I look forward to adding our 2022 festival sponsors. It’s nice to take a break from editing vocals for my debut record, coming soon!

February 15th, 2022, Stranded Blog – Building a Festival Part 1

Every good event, song, or video has to start with a theme. Here we have a horse combined with the state of Louisiana, its hair blending in almost like it’s burning as well…in a good way that is.
